Trump Suggests Walking Away from Ukraine, Labels Europe 'Feeble' and 'Decaying'.

During a recent interview, President Trump has hinted he could withdraw from supporting Ukraine while doubling down on his administration's sharp critique of Europe, which he described as "weak" and "decaying" and asserting it was "destroying itself" through migration policies.

A Rambling Interview Laden with Misstatements and Recurring Grudges

During the often halting exchange, the American leader was unable to identify any Ukrainian cities except for Kyiv, distorted elements of the conflict's trajectory, and repeated nationalist rhetoric about European immigration that mirrored unfounded claims.

He called for Ukraine's president to accept his proposal to give up land to Russia, arguing that Moscow retained the "upper hand" and that Kyiv must "play ball."

"I don't want to speculate. That's not for discussion," he stated about potential military strategy, also refusing to exclude sending US forces into Venezuela.

Europe's 'Cultural Decline' Described in Racial Terms

Trump returned repeatedly to framing what he called Europe's problems in entirely racial terms, calling some politicians on the continent "real stupid."

"If it keeps going on its current path, Europe won't remain... many of those countries will not be viable any longer. Their immigration policy is a catastrophe. What they're doing with immigration is a calamity," he claimed.

This view came after the release of a new US national security strategy that stated Europe faced "civilisational erasure" because of large-scale immigration, offering implicit backing for nationalist movements.

EU Pushback: "Do Not Interfere"

In response, EU leader António Costa said the implication that the US would back Europe's right-wing groups was not acceptable, emphasizing: "What we cannot accept is the prospect to interfere in European politics."

Criticism of Major Cities and Mayor Khan

Discussing shifts he claimed were happening in big European cities like London and Paris, Trump was explicit that the problem, as he viewed it, was that they were becoming less white. He once more criticized Sadiq Khan, the city's Muslim leader.

"The continent is... consider Paris, it's a much different place. It was once great. It is not the same. If you take a look at London, there is Mayor Khan. He is terrible. He's an incompetent mayor, and is a vile leader. In my view his tenure is a failure," Trump said.

He further claimed that immigrants were "entering from globally. Not just the Middle East, they arrive from the Congo, vast amounts of people originating in the Congo."

Future of the Transatlantic Alliance

When asked if this path meant European countries would no longer be US allies, Trump answered: "Or they'll be... that depends. They'll change their ideology, obviously, because the people coming in have a totally different ideology. This will render them much weaker. They'll be a much... they'll be much weaker."

Although he claimed he had no grand plan for Europe, Trump conceded he had "supported figures that a lot of Europeans don't like," such as Hungary's Viktor Orbán.

"I have no vision for Europe. My only desire is to see a strong Europe. The priority, I have a vision is for the United States of America first. It's 'Make America Great Again,'" he stated. "People say I am a very smart person. I see. I have ears. I am informed. I see what's happening. I receive briefings that you will never see. My belief is it's tragic what's happening to Europe."
