Messages Uncover Jeffrey Epstein and former Trump strategist Relationship

In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously Donald Trump's chief strategist, visited the UK preparing for a address at the Oxford Union.

The event was interrupted by hundreds of demonstrators, and Bannon, who was due to board a flight that night, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Activists slowed down my talk don't think I can make the plane we r enroute to the airport".

Epstein replied: "That. Is a gulf air that leaves at 950 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "You are an excellent assistant".

These exchanges were published on this week together with over 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the deceased convicted sex offender.

The disclosure by the Congressional committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's identity is withheld. The BBC managed to confirm his involvement by cross-referencing the timeline, events, and locations referenced.

For example, Epstein talks about chartering a jet from the UK for the unnamed individual in the chat, and commends their "address at Oxford". Bannon participated in the Edinburgh conference on 14 November, and gave the speech at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the inquiry.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon was one of the president's closest advisers in the lead-up to the 2016 election and in the early days of his presidency, but resigned from the administration in August 2017.

He has admitted he was making a film about Epstein prior to his death and allegedly has around 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his podcast earlier this year, he said: "We're going to release the series, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - at the start of next year."

But the newly released materials indicate Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than being his biographer, with the disgraced financier at times seeming to act like a aide.

A short time prior to the conversation in which Epstein appeared to have arranged a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "what's it like to have the highest-paid booking agent in history ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "You are quite capable assistant", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Excluded".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein assured Bannon: "I'll make sure you're taken care of."

British Affairs Mentioned in Messages

The released communications also show Bannon and Epstein talking about UK politics in that year.

Earlier on the day of his speech at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the EU exit thing this day with Farage, Johnson and Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to the UK prime minister, the struggling UK prime minister at the period, he continued: "They are attempting to move on. may soon…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "In my view remaining as much as you can in the UK. Ideal- so others see the commitment of your follow through."

Soon after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa may remain in power". Bannon answered: "I don't see how however the people here have no balls" and added "Boris ; Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to step up".

Theresa May was finally toppled in 2019 after withstanding multiple attempts of lack of support in December 2018.

A spokesman for Reform UK told the BBC: "Nigel Farage has not been in a meeting with Steve Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence such a meeting occurred.

The Congress will decide soon on whether the Department of Justice should make public all its files concerning its probe into Epstein, who passed away in prison in 2019.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was reignited this week after the publication of over 20,000 pages from his estate.

Some of those referenced the former president, who has consistently denied any wrongdoing. The leader was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but claims they parted ways in the early 2000s, two years prior to Epstein was initially charged.
